The NAUI First Aid course trains divers and non-divers alike to assist with emergencies, whether they occur on a diving trip or at home. Knowledge of first aid and appropriate action can save a life. This course teaches the proper responses to aid a person in distress until in the care of a professional medical personnel. It is mandatory for all rescue divers to be First Aid trained, and this course is included within the SCUBA Rescue Diver course. Divers (and interested non-divers) taking this course will receive special emphasis on dive-related injuries as well as emergency Oxygen administration.
