There is a time for everything
There is a time for everything. Just as there is a time to work hard to provide for others and improve yourself, there is a time to play and enjoy the company of loved ones and friends. While we may not have much to offer in way of the former, Boy! do we have much in store for you should you decide to unwind and relax.
First off, we are going to embark on the luxurious Divemaster 1 once again, to sail to Hin Daeng and Hin Muang in mid September. The boat's impeccable service and onboard masseuse will leave you wanting for more. And to answer that, we have another trip on the same boat to Similans and Richlieu Rock in early January next year.
Next, we have a date (December, to be more precise) with another exotic location — Palau. Your thirst for pelagics, big or small, will surely be quenched once you have dived the open blue waters of this corner of the world, in Micronesia. For a nearer but no less exotic destination, we have a trip to Malapascua, Philippines in November.
If you can't wait that long, we have 2 trips to the world class diving that is Sipadan, in September and December. Do not miss this if you fancy Christmas on an idyllic island in the middle of nowhere. In between, we are going to Manado in October. This trip promises to be full of surprises and memories, so do not forget your camera!
Dive at the Island of the Gods
Almost half the year has gone by, and if you still haven't made any plans to get wet and wild, now's the time!
We have expanded our trips to Bali this season with more dives at exotic locations.
Other than the usual dives to seek out the Mola-Molas at Nusa Penida, we will be diving at the famous wreck of Tulamben, and with the wondrous macro life at Menjangan. Do not give them a miss, and remember to bring along your underwater camera!
For a shorter getaway, we have planned a trip to Pulau Redang in July. Together with our usual trips to Pulau Dayang and Tioman and many others, there is no reason to stay high and dry!
A New Season of Diving
With the start of a new year, it only means one thing: Diving season is just round the corner! Trips to Pulau Dayang will resume in the month of March, and we are giving you a $50 discount for the first 2 weekends (March 5-7th and 12-14th)!
We are also running trips to 3 of the best diving destinations in Philippines, Puerto Galera, Donsol and Malapascua. For that exotic yet accessible dive holiday, look no further than this!
For those who do not wish to take leave yet are looking for a getaway, we have arranged a trip up to Pulau Redang during Good Friday (April 1-4th).
This also means our dive courses will resume soon, and if you are looking to further your dive education, or are thinking about getting a friend or loved one into the sport, call us now at 6774 1440 or drop by for a course introduction.
Dates to take note of:
- February 12th to 16th
Puerto Galera - March 5th to 7th
Pulau Dayang ($50 discount) - March 12th to 14th
Pulau Dayang ($50 discount) - March 13th to 16th

Season's Greetings from Mako Sub-Aquatics
It has been an exhilarating 2009 indeed!
For those of us who have begun a new journey in diving, congratulations on your NAUI certification and welcome to the Mako family! We have more trips to new and exciting destinations in the coming year, and we look forward to having you dive with us once again.
New destinations abound for 2010! First, we have ‘Snorkel with the whale sharks’ at Donsol, a world-famous whale shark breeding ground. And there is also not-to-be-missed Malapascua, also in The Philippines, where sightings of the elusive Thresher Sharks abound!
Our ever-popular Manado and Pulau Sipadan trips will continue to run throughout the year, and not forgetting our regular Dayang and all-new Tioman weekend trips. For Tioman, we will be introducing a new-found resort (with its very own seafood restaurant), and speed-boat diving. More rest and better grub! What more can we ask for?
For those of us interested in pursuing a higher level of diver certification and dive leadership certification, we will be running those courses as well.
Mako will also be moving to our new home at Block 67, unit #04-02, in January 2010, as block 71 will be torn-down for redevelopment. Our phone number remains unchanged – 6774 1440.
We will be sending you more information soon!
Once again, Merry Christmas, and all the very best for a wet and exciting 2010!
